Privacy Policy
Forge Lifts ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Forge Lifts collects only the information necessary to provide the coaching experience:
- Account information: Email address and name when you sign in with Apple.
- Training data: Exercises, sets, reps, loads, RPE ratings, and session notes you enter in the app.
- Onboarding data: Training age, available equipment, schedule, and goals you provide during setup.
- Device information: App version and iOS version, used for crash diagnostics only.
We do not collect location data, contacts, camera access, microphone access, or any data unrelated to your training.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate and adapt your personalized strength program.
- To provide set-by-set coaching and load recommendations.
- To sync your training data across your devices.
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the app.
3. AI Processing
When you generate or update a program, your onboarding data and training history are sent to our AI service (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to produce your personalized program. This data is used solely to fulfill your request and is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes beyond their standard data handling policies.
4. Data Storage
Your training data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. A copy is synced to our secure cloud backend (AWS) to enable multi-device access. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
6. Third-Party Services
Forge Lifts uses the following third-party services:
- Apple Sign-In — for authentication.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — for AI program generation.
- AWS Cognito & API Gateway — for secure authentication and backend services.
- RevenueCat — for subscription management.
We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or social media tracking.
7. Children's Privacy
Forge Lifts is not directed at children under 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
